Classic Factory Restoration
Ray Shaffer, Porsche Classic Business Development Manager

Ray Shaffer, Porsche Classic Business Development Manager and Heritage Gallery Curator, Porsche Cars North America, Inc.

Ray Shaffer is the manager for Porsche Classic Business Development as well as curator of the German sports car manufacturer's Heritage Gallery inside the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Atlanta at Porsche Cars North America, Inc. [PCNA).

Shaffer assumed the position of Classic and Delivery Center Manager in November 2015 and was responsible for opening the Porsche Classic Factory Restoration workshop as well as creating and launching the New Vehicle Delivery Experience for the PEC Atlanta. With both operations successfully up and running, Ray took over the role of Porsche Classic Business Development Manager in October 2018. Today, his responsibilities include business and marketing development for Porsche Classic, including Factory Restoration. Additionally, Shaffer coordinates heritage vehicle exhibits for the thousands of visitors who come to experience the brand at its home in America.

Ray began his career with Porsche in January 1999 when he joined the sales team at the Brumos Porsche dealership in Jacksonville, Florida. Over the next ‘I0 years, he held the positions of Sales Consultant and Sales Manager, responsible for leading sales and leasing efforts. In January 2010, he was named General Manager, Brumos Porsche, where he oversaw all vehicle sales, customer service and marketing, including the dealership and race team's journey into e-commerce and social media.

Shaffer is a student of automotive management, marketing and history, having studied at both Robert Morris College and Northwood University. With over 32 years of experience in the automobile business and motorsport as a driver, Ray is a frequent panelist, podcast guest and speaker on Porsche and auto racing.

Grant Larson, Designer, Special Projects: New 935 & 981 Bergspyder Design Forum

Grant has been designing cars ever since he was 5 years old. After studying Industrial Design at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and Transportation Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Grant spent the first 3 years of his career at Audi in Munich. In 1989 Grant joined Porsche as an Exterior Designer. His projects ranged from the Boxster show car and production car, followed by the Carrera GT show car, the 997 and 997 Turbo, as well as the Panamera. Since his appointment as Director of Special Projects, his projects encompassed the 911 Sport Classic, 997 Speedster, both Boxster Spyders, the 991 Targa, the new 935 as well as various special editions, race cars, and VIP cars. Grant is also a huge fan and collector of air-cooled boxer-engined Porsches and VW’s.

Meet the Timepieces Designer from Studio F. A. Porsche and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look into the unique design philosophy of Porsche Design Timepieces. In a 30-minute intimate and interactive workshop, experience the minimalist and motorsports-inspired design approach behind the latest limited edition Porsche Design Timepieces creations: the 911 Chronograph Timeless Machine and Chronograph 911 Speedster.

Workshops take place at Parade Hospitality, located in the Royal Palm Area.
